Oct 24, 1929: Wall St crash

As the countdown to Halloween draws nearer, superstitious traders might want to take note of events that took place 79 years ago today – the omens facing global markets are eerily similar to those surrounding the 1929 Wall Street Crash. Tags: , ,

Stock Market Ready to Bottom

Will the next bottom be "the bottom"?  Some people think we are close to a stock market bottom.  What is going to happen on Monday (make big money on puts)?  Either buy puts or if you're scared get in cash people.  Prediction if we hit do hit a bottom soon we will have a huge up run before the next even scarier bottom.  THAT'S RIGHT!!  Another bottom after what looks like a recovery.  Scared yet? I'm sure everyone everyone will become a "Bear expert" or depression expert now.  The funny part is a month ago even smart people were convinced that picking a variety of stocks ONLY was a good long term investment.  Amazing how people can be that blind of history.  Look at the parallels between now and the Wall Street Crash of 1929. You'll get the chills. This has been the greastest upswing and increase in wealth in human history.  Just look at a chart.  It's been long term majorly bull since the bottom during the Great Depression. Tags: , , ,

Are We Stupid Or Just Blind

Financial workers at Wall Street’s top banks are to receive pay deals worth more than $70bn (£40bn), a substantial proportion of which is expected to be paid in discretionary bonuses, for their work so far this year - despite plunging the global financial system into its worst crisis since the 1929 stock market crash, the Guardian has learned. And if you can imagine this, so can others. Tags: ,

What is an Economic Recession?

Nobody wants to face a recession. It is because people fear of losing their jobs, stock market crashes, people go bankruptcy and so much more can happen. However, this is something nobody can avoid it and must learn how to face it.  So what actually is considered as an economic recession? A recession is a contraction phase of the business cycle. The U.S. based National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) defines a recession a tad more vague as "a significant decline in economic activity spread across the economy, lasting more than a few months, normally visible in real GDP, real income, employment, industrial production, and wholesale-retail sales." A sustained recession may become a.......duh, duh, dunnnn depression. Tags: , , , ,

Wall Street Rebounds, Takes Game Stocks With It

Yesterday, Wall Street crashed. Took a lot of gaming industry money with it. Today, though, the market's rebounded, and whaddya know, that rebound took a lot of gaming industry money with it! Blactivision lost $2.26 (per share) yesterday, but clawed back $1.31 today. EA lost $3.63 yesterday, but at the sounding of the bell today, had won back $0.99 Tags:

Only Ron Paul Had A Plan To Prevent Wall Street’s Crash

America became the greatest, most prosperous nation in human history through low taxes, constitutionally limited government, personal freedom and a belief in sound money. We need to return to these principles so our economy can thrive again. When enacted, my plan will provide both short-term stimulus and lay the groundwork for long-term prosperity. Tags: ,
